Funnelback Wins Geoscience Search Tender
Canberra, ACT (PRWEB) November 13, 2007 -- Funnelback Pty Ltd announced today that it has won the tender to provide a full Enterprise Search solution for Geoscience Australia.
The Funnelback Enterprise search solution is designed to deliver easier information discoverability across the vast array of differing information repositories held by Geoscience Australia.
Funnelback General Manager, Mr. Stuart Beil says, "The Funnelback Enterprise Search solution will be located on the Geoscience Australia Intranet home page. This will enable Geoscience staff to easily search across multiple information resources via the one simple web interface and with one simple click".
Mr. Stuart Girvan, Director, Enterprise Systems Section, Geoscience Australia said "Enterprise Search has become an accepted and expected piece of functionality for Geoscience Australia staff and its full scale implementation will achieve enhanced staff productivity and efficiency".
Funnelback will provide a federated search across multiple information resources in Geoscience Australia, including intranet and internet web pages; staff database; library catalogue; products catalogue; images collection (Oracle); and the TRIM Electronic Document Management System.
Funnelback has built an adaptor to search Tower Software's TRIM EDRMS. "It is particularly pleasing to see the Funnelback TRIM adaptor in production and making TRIM content more accessible to staff." said Mr. Beil.
Funnelback will work with Geoscience Australia to roll out the implementation by December 2007.
